Children and Emotions

This book is intended for parents and educators who are raising children and thus influencing their emotional lives. The most important emotions that we and our children encounter are presented against the backdrop of short, emotionally charged stories about two parents and their four children.

A separate chapter is dedicated to each emotion, which contains:

• a story narrating a particular emotional situation
• commentary and recommendations for parents and educators
• questions on the topic and practical exercises (physical, breathing, creative workshop)
• games that develop perceptiveness and other skills in the context of a specific emotional situation
• a poem and a song
• ideas for independent exercises at home
• the chapter's message for children, parents and educators

The aim of the book is to help parents, educators and everyone who enters children's lives to develop their curiosity, open-mindedness, self-confidence and self-acceptance, the ability to manage fear and other strong emotions, the ability to concentrate and find calm, the ability to objectively perceive what is happening both inside and outside us, the ability to tune in to the emotions of loved ones, and to develop compassion and kindness, social competence and a sense of belonging.
