Cars in Czechoslovakia 1945-1990

This book, the first of its kind in our country, showcases more than 150 car models sold and driven in Czechoslovakia between 1945 and 1990. Passenger cars from thirty different brands are clearly divided into three time periods: 1945–1960, 1961–1975, and 1976–1990. Each period is further categorised by the cars' origin: domestically produced cars, cars from the East, and cars from the West. For every vehicle, basic technical specifications and the number of units sold or imported are provided, along with their contemporary retail prices in Czechoslovak crowns (Kčs) or Tuzex vouchers (TK). These are the cars that were sold by Mototechna, Tuzex, and Škoda brand dealerships. The car descriptions are illustrated with 450 predominantly colour photographs and drawings.
