Carlo Goldoni: Treperends

Italian playwright Carlo Goldoni's hilarious situation comedy shows what a simple gossip, rumour or rumour can do. He may have written it in 1751, but make no mistake - Treperends is still relevant today. Listen to them with Jiřina Jirásková, Martin Štěpánek and other excellent actors. The simple story takes place over the course of a single day in Venice and concerns the upcoming wedding of Checchina and her lover Beppo. But the fact that the bride is not the daughter of the father who raised her comes to light. The Treperendas start a merry-go-round of gossip and gossip and almost ruin the wedding. Goldoni's comedy is an excellent opportunity for gags and humorous situations.
