Can we still live?
Is technology destroying our ability to experience life?
Tempting, fun, and easily accessible, technology offers us convenience and endless creativity. At the same time, however, it is transforming our self-perception and blurring the lines between virtual and real-life experiences. And we don’t realise what we are losing in the process. Perhaps what’s at stake is our very ability to be real people who know how to live life truly and to the fullest. In the book, *The Extinction of Experience*, researcher and historian Christine Rosen examines the cultural and emotional shifts that the digitisation of our lives is causing. Through everyday situations and practical research, the author reveals the key human experiences that are under threat, including personal communication, authentic emotions, and even boredom. How is technology changing us, and how can we resist it?
