Brittany Tide

The fifth case for Commissaire Dupin, a penguin and caffeine lover, a native Parisian transferred to Brittany for punishment - to the end of the world. On the day of the Celtic solstice, Commissioner Dupin is standing ankle-deep in fish waste. The dead body of a young fisherwoman from the Isle de Seine lies in an auction hall in Douarnenez. Under extraordinary pressure, Dupin investigates on the westernmost tip of Brittany. Has there been a resurgence of the old smuggling routes through the waters of the Atlantic Ocean? Is there evidence of illegal activities in the protected natural area, the Iroise Maritimes Park, which is inhabited by dolphins and whales? And how do the sea legends told by the proud inhabitants of the island relate to all this? FISHERMEN, SCIENTISTS, SMUGGLERS AND A LEGENDARY ISLAND IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ATLANTIC OCEAN Commissioner Dupin never wanted to investigate at sea again. However, this new case forces him to venture as far as the last headlands of the western coast of Brittany. To the peculiar island de Sein, where more rabbits live than people and once inhabited by powerful witches. Against a breathtaking backdrop, between the islands of Molene and Ouessant and the bay of Douarnenez, the Commissioner and his inspectors investigate a mysterious case that will force them to cross their own borders.
