Fourth case for Commissioner Dupin, a lover of penguins and caffeine, a native Parisian transferred to Brittany for punishment - to the end of the world On the banks of the picturesque river Belon, in the area of, where the world-famous oysters are grown, a willful, aging actress discovers the corpse of a man. Just a little later, Commissaire Dupin receives a message from the legendary hills of Monts d'Arrée, the land of tales of fairies and the devil. A man whose identity is unknown to police was also found dead there. When the Commissioner discovers that the clues lead to the Mafia, Celtic brotherhoods and mysterious Druid cults, he begins to suspect that this will be his most bizarre case yet.

Those who read Bannalec will feel an urgent need for adventure. His strange commissioner spontaneously wins our sympathy, so that we feel like Frenchmen ourselves.

Two colleagues from Rieco have already left, they must be there in a few minutes." "Good. I want a message immediately. I'll be right out. I'll see you there." Dupin hung up. "Shit," he sighed out loud in relief.
