Bohumil

Bohumil is a taciturn old man, at that time the cemetery manager. He was born into a world that was still possible to understand. Which could be taken apart, repaired and put back together. Bohumil would like to wish from the bottom of his heart that it were that easy with interpersonal relationships. But can a person destroy the foundations he built over 70 years overnight?

One November night, Bohumil does the right thing, which, in his opinion, anyone would do. Unfortunately, the police have a different opinion. When the media catches on to the incident, Bohumil' s previously carefully organized life begins to shake to its foundations.
At the same time, mayoral elections are approaching in Prague. The two main rivals are bragging like roosters in a garbage dump, but Bohumil has completely different concerns. How is it possible that two new apartment buildings are growing right outside his windows, in a nature reserve? And how come the building authority allowed them when his tiny, self-built house refuses to pass the building inspection?
But when Marie, a young mother of two curious boys, enters his life, these questions have to be put aside. A lady in trouble always needs help.
Christmas is approaching, and with it, shadows of the past that we would rather keep inside and continue to pretend are not ours begin to surface.
