Blood on the fern

The book is a continuation of the successful short story collection Blood on the Burdock and consists of two parts. The first one contains eight stories in which Oldřich of Chlum and his assistants, the squire Ota and the commander Diviš, as well as his wife Ludmila from Vartemberk, act as the main investigator. All the stories bear the stamp of the original thinking of Oldřich of Chlum, who not only tries to punish criminals, but also seeks true and unadulterated justice. Of course, this often leads to unexpected denouement of stories. The second part of the book contains ten medieval courtrooms, inspired by real crimes.
