Black Blood

This eighth book by Břetislav Olšer once again draws its inspiration from Jewish culture and the fate of its community within our generation. The novel's protagonist – a journalist from Ostrava – is drawn into an almost detective-like plot. A wide spectrum of passions, where sex is unconventionally used as a means of revenge, creates a multi-layered story rooted in the fateful suffering of the Holocaust.
