Biodynamic viticulture and winemaking
Biodynamic vine cultivation not only involves caring for the vine in accordance with natural and cosmic rhythms, but is based in particular on caring for the soil that nourishes the vine. If the soil is healthy, full of beneficial micro-organisms and organic matter, there is no need to use chemical fertilisers.
The goal of the biodynamic grower is to eliminate foreign inputs, that put a strain on the vineyard ecosystem, and to strengthen the health of the vines only by the necessary, locally produced herbal preparations, exudates and concoctions, that keep the soil alive and vital. And by working in the wine cellar, the winemaker completes the process to which all work in the vineyard is subject. It produces wine that is authentic, free of all additives, reflecting the old technological processes and the art of our ancestors.
