Baron Trenck: To the very edge of hell

Audiobook Baron Trenck: Až na hranici pekel (To the Brink of Hell), written by František Niedl, read by Pavel Soukup, directed by Helena Rytířová. A FASCINATING STORY OF BARON FRANZ TRENCK, A MAN OF INDOMITABLE NATURE AND BOLD SPIRIT Trenck's life is full of adventure from childhood. As a seven-year-old boy, he takes part in his first campaign to get a taste of the military craft as early as possible. He helps in the field hospital, carrying out his difficult work with an almost unbelievable matter-of-factness. Trenck's life subsequently becomes filled with love affairs which, along with his explosive temper, significantly complicate his entire professional military career. Fortunately for him, he distinguishes himself as a soldier many times over, and after many trials and tribulations, he finally manages to settle down on an estate in Slavonia. However, no peace awaits him there either. He must confront dangerous gangs of robbers who will stop at nothing – and perhaps it is here that his cruelty, which will eventually reach the ears of Maria Theresa, is born… FRANTIŠEK NIEDL František Niedl was born in České Budějovice and graduated from the Secondary Technical School of Electrical Engineering.
