Lucie Hlavinková

Lucie Hlavinková is the author of successful books for adults and children. In 2016, she won the Albatros publishing competition with her children's book Project Dog (mine), which has had several sequels. She has also written the Sisterhood and Manyclues series for children, and her Herbal Grandmother and the adventure novel Barabizna were published as separate books in the Foglar series. The author published her first adult book, The Fox Sisters, in 2017. It was followed by the historical novels The Apothecary, Who Sews at Podolska's?, The Truth Wasn't for Sale, The Feast of the Serpent and Gottwald's Mummy.

Jaroslav Foglar

Writer, editor-in-chief of the magazines Mladý hlasatel, Junák and Vpřed, prominent methodologist, long-time scout leader of the 2nd Prague Scout Troop. He offered his experience, ideas and program tips to others through magazines and later books on the border between story and methodological guide, such as The Lost Track Chronicle and Our Troop. His first short story, Vítězství / Victory, was published in Scout Junák in December 1923. Ten years later, he published his follow-up novel Boj o první místo / Fight for the First Place in the magazine of the same name. And then, in quick succession, followed the books Hoši od Bobří řeky (Boys from the Beaver River), Přístav callá (The Harbour is Calling) and two dozen others. These, along with many short stories and comics, led by The Quick Arrows, have become essential reading for several generations of young people. His legacy, including copyright, is managed by the Jaroslav Foglar Scout Foundation.
