Around the world on a motorbike

In April 2016, a year and a half after having the idea to travel the world, Mirka and I are standing at the starting line of our journey of a lifetime in the centre of Brno. We're a mix of fear and excitement, but there's no backing out now. For the next two years, our trusty bikes carry us day after day through the landscape towards new experiences. From the deserts of Iran, through the high mountains of Central Asia, to the Land of the Rising Sun. Across the ocean to the southernmost city in the world, past salt flats, Inca monuments and the snowy peaks of the Andes, to the lands of coffee, cocoa and rum.

I’ll tell you about our initial plans, which ended up being completely different, how we learned, enjoyed ourselves and got angry along the way, or how we went from being in love to a crossroads where we each went our own way.

About how man proposes and life disposes. That anything can happen, and just when you think you've won, something goes wrong.

But all those unexpected changes are part of travelling and are what make it so beautiful and addictive. The important thing is not to crap yourself. But that’s bound to happen sooner or later anyway, so no stress, loo roll in your pocket, and boldly into the world!
