Aroma of coffee and taste of absinthe

Alissa Snowden has always felt she was born into the wrong time. She loves history and reading, and is happy to be working as a librarian at the Royal Library in London. But her peaceful life over the pages of books comes to an end when a mysterious man in a dark redingot appears among the reagals and offers her a job in the most beautiful library in the world. Even more surprising is the discovery that this library is not on any map and that it can be reached from the Hagia Sophia in Instanbul. Allisa suspects that the real reason they want to hire her is because of her special ability with books. Her return will bring back memories. Why does the teacher Hypatia, Erich Kästner or the controversial writer Colette appear in them? What does Alissa have to do with the mysterious disappearance of the books? And why does the head librarian hate her so much? Make yourself a cup of tea, coffee or dark chocolate and immerse yourself in a magical literary world. A world where not only books come alive again and again, but also their creators.
