Are we in for a disaster?

Reserve General Andor Šándor intersperses his life memoirs with sharp reflections, historical images, sometimes even ironic comments and perspectives on a possibly quite dangerous future.

Reserve General Andor Sándor. Countless people know him from the media and from his lectures and listen to what the elegant gentleman in the well-cut suit says. And like with a little bit of a commanding posture still. In English, which can ing. Shandor, like few people here, calls it body language.
But someone has to ask: What does this man have in his background, other than having headed military intelligence years ago and being known today as a security expert? What did he go through and where did his life go? What kind of friends does he have? And what enemies?
These questions are answered by the book of the general's memoirs, which is now entering the Czech book market. And this is no ordinary memoir describing his own life from childhood to wise old age. Šándor varies his memoirs with sharp reflections, historical images, sometimes almost ironic comments and views of a possibly quite dangerous future.
He comes across today, when you see him, as a politician you might want to vote for. Like a man who can answer questions. He was an infantry company commander, an English teacher, a military diplomat, a non-commissioned officer and head of military intelligence - he is still well versed in armed forces and politics. And he says in the book, for example: "We are relying on the famous Article Five of the Washington Treaty, which speaks of assistance to a NATO member country by its allies, and we do not want to take into account the fact that the allies will help the threatened state within their capabilities and discretion. So, for example, they can send him a train with bottled water, forty thousand blankets and boxes of brufen."
