Are men to blame?
And they all lived happily ever after… It can happen to you too.
Why are women sometimes considered second-class citizens, and when in history was this silver medal position assigned to them? How can this situation be rectified so that it is reflected not only in professional but also in personal relationships?
How can we build a healthy and happy life together and learn to manage the problems that sometimes lead to its end? What comes after the infatuation fades? Is sex really as important as they say, and does infidelity always have to mean a definitive break-up?
And how are we influenced by the family we come from, and which phrases tend to be explosive in a partnership?
There are many more questions that Radkin Honzák answers in the book. They all revolve around women and men and their relationships. With his characteristic light touch, the psychiatrist reflects on situations that affect every one of us.

Klára Mandausová
Klára Mandausová is a journalist, literary editor, and writer. *Proti srsti* (Against the Grain) is her tenth book. She has also published the novel *Odměna za nevěru* (The Reward for Infidelity), the feature collections *My dokonalé* (We Perfect Women) and *Holky s voctem* (Girls with Vinegar), contributed to the book *Dobro a zlo 21. století* (Good and Evil in the 21st Century), in which she interviewed the theologian Marek Vácha, and provided the text for the monograph *Duše květů* (The Soul of Flowers) by botanical painter Pavlína Kourková. As a child, she could most often be found in the library. Until the age of twenty-two, she was convinced she would become a teacher, probably so she could at least write on a blackboard, but there was no place for her in any school. After studying at the University of Economics, Prague, she therefore went to work for MF Dnes. While writing about economics, her daughter Kristina was born. She later swapped her job at the daily newspaper for the lifestyle magazine Marianne and Forbes magazine. Since 2022, she has been working at the Mladá fronta publishing house. Besides her family, witty men, and cheerful friends, she loves forests, mountains, galleries, riverside cafés, historic parts of cities, and animals, especially Arnošt the golden retriever and a group of male cats that she and her daughter have gradually adopted from shelters. She likes to say that kindness gets you the furthest and that love makes the world go round.
