Anulka and Mr. Five Eyes

Anulka from Radostín is a poor orphan girl who stays with her aunt. One day in the village she sees a handsome young squire, Florian Pětioček, and immediately falls in love with him. But even the waterman's daughter Plavuně decides that Mr. Pětiočko will become her groom. Young Florian is handsome, but he's also very conceited. When Anulka discovers this, she first laughs at his arrogance and finally she gives him a good beating for his pride. He honours him with expressions and new unfamiliar words that are typical of Josef Štefan Kubín's fairy tales. Will Mr. Five Eyes punish Anulka or will he come to his senses? Will the waterman rather help his daughter or will he take the side of the difficult human love between Anulka and Mr. Florian?
