Anatole France: Jana Alexandrova
Anatole France, who lived between 1844 and 1924, became famous for his allegorical novel The Island of the Penguins. His books are characterised by their colourful themes, stylistic refinement and sometimes humorous attitude. The six-part follow-up reading, Jana Alexandrova, comes from the book Crime by Institute member Sylvester Bonnard. Mr. Bonnard is an old scientist and lives in Paris. He has a good heart, so he sometimes dares to do unexpected things. While taking inventory of M. de Gabry's precious library, he meets Miss Jana, whose grandmother Clementine he once loved. Bonnard's life is making sense again: the old scientist must do everything to get the girl out of the influence of her guardian. Directed by Jana Klimentová, it features Josef Červinka.
