Kazimír Nezbeda Transforms into a Deadly Predator
The Czechs are losing their war, although they refuse to admit it. Their numbers are dwindling at a dizzying rate, while the enemy’s numbers seem to remain undiminished. The tactics of the local creatures change by the hour. The beasts are becoming increasingly cunning and murderous. Under the influence of a foreign parasite, Kazimír Nezbeda is turning into a deadly predator. He himself has no idea what he will ultimately become. Yet he leads his squad from one impossible mission to the next. He is becoming a symbol for the combined Gamma and Alpha airborne forces. A leader worth following. When he is sent to investigate the activities of the Beta airborne force, he sees it as an opportunity to finally uncover the secrets of the island and its inhabitants.

The more modern the era becomes, the less he likes it. He can't stand crowds, yet he is constantly surrounded by people. He does none of the things he studied for. He doesn't have enough money to buy what he wants. He doesn't see the friends he loves often enough. He has never found a job he enjoys. He has an aversion to the rules by which the modern world operates. He believes overpopulation is the planet's biggest problem. When watching Armageddon, he cheers for the asteroid. Yet he lives in his dream house in a perfect location, with the woman he loves, and has just fulfilled one of his dreams. Others are in the queue. You see, Honza is a hopeless optimist.
