Alex, summer and me

Poppy and Alex, Alex and Poppy. They don't really have anything in common at all. She's a wild egg, he wears beige pants. She has an unquenchable desire to travel, he prefers to sit at home with a book. But somehow, since a certain memorable ride home from college together, they've become best friends.

Most of the time everyone lives elsewhere – She in New York, he in their hometown –, but they've been going on amazing vacations together every year for ten years. Or rather, they used to. Two years ago everything collapsed and they haven't spoken since.

Poppy has everything she wants, but her routine is killing her. When someone asks her when was the last time she was truly happy, she knows for sure that it was on her last unhappy holiday with Alex. So he decides to convince his former best friend that they should go out again and explain and sort everything out.

Alex miraculously agrees – and now she's got a week to make things right. If only she could avoid the one thing that had been in the air since the beginning of their friendship! What could possibly go wrong?
