Adam Dolník: The world of an elite negotiator
Audiobook The World of the Elite Negotiator, authors Adam Dolník and Martin Moravec, read by Marek Němec, Josef Pejchal and Petra Bučková. Directed by Jan Herget.
Welcome to the darkest corners of crime. In places where they are kidnapped, threatened and ransom demanded. You will be guided through them by Adam Dolník, who is one of the few people in the world who negotiates with kidnappers, extortionists, pirates and terrorists. He has taken dozens of hostages from captivity and his story chills me.
Not much is known about the negotiators. And few people know that among the best is a Czech. When his phone rings, he has only a few minutes to pack up and fly to Nigeria, Pakistan, Haiti... How did he get this job? What did he experience during it? Lots of emotions, tension and dramatic stories.
During his career, he trained FBI and Scotland Yard agents. He has faced criminal gangs, Somali pirates and even the Islamic State. More than once he found himself among terrorists and in situations where he was in danger of not returning home himself. Where is the biggest drift? How do you negotiate for a human life? And how can these skills be used in everyday situations?
