Accounting under International Financial Reporting Standards 2012

This practical accounting publication covers the main accounting and reporting issues under International Financial Reporting Standards. The first chapter deals with the development of IFRS. Particular attention is focused on trends in the accounting for financial instruments, including parallel developments in US GAAP in this area. The main differences in IFRSs governed by European Union law and some proposals for near-term changes to IFRSs are also set out. The following two chapters summarize the various standards and interpretations. The final chapter provides examples of the application of IFRSs, including calculations such as fair values and accounting relationships.
