About the Golden Rose of Hell

Young Joshua lives with his father, a shoemaker, and poverty creeps into their cottage. But still, Joshua turns up his nose at the richest bride in the village. He'd get married, yeah, but when he finds a girl he likes. But my father insists: either Joshua marries the miller's daughter or he leaves the house. And the stubborn Joshua decides on the latter.
