A Lady in Distress

Miranda lives with her brother and two elderly aunts who have raised her to be a perfect lady, steering well clear of any scandal. But beneath the surface, she has a fiery and independent nature. Miranda is trying to figure out who she really is and what's important to her… when her brother suddenly disappears. Fearing the worst, she seeks help from her questionable neighbour, the gambling king Neville Roscoe.

Lord Julian Delbraith gave up his position to save his family. He became Neville Roscoe, a mysterious man with a less-than-stellar reputation. On the outside, he seems unapproachable and keeps everyone at arm's length… until the woman living next door asks for his help. At that moment, his sense of honour awakens, and he can't refuse Miranda. As they work together to find her brother, he soon realises that this woman is the only one who can help him return to his life as Lord Julian.

Miranda and Neville find themselves in peril, entangled in intrigue and facing danger… but through all the hardships, they can't help but notice that love has blossomed between them!
