A corpse in armour

It's October 1306. To celebrate the election of the new Czech king Rudolf of Habsburg, a knightly tournament is held in the square of the Greater Town of Prague. The first to compete is the new king's friend and favourite, the tournament-winning knight Hartmann of Kuenring, and the Czech nobleman Čeněk of Lipá. To everyone's surprise, Hartmann falls into the dust of the arena without being touched by a clog, and the ranch hand who is called in finds that he is dead. It looks like someone sent a dead man in armor riding into a joust between shrapnel. Čeněk is immediately imprisoned, but the case is much more complicated, nobody wants to talk, and more people are murdered. Who needed to remove Hartmann from the Kuenring and anyone else who knew anything? Who minded the heir of a powerful Austrian family? Royal Judge Melichar wants to get to the bottom of this mystery!
