A broken promise

He'll protect her, whether she likes it or not.
Riona Griffin is a beautiful, intelligent and stubborn woman, determined to make her mark on her family's history without a man by her side. But when she survives an unexpected attack, her family hires Raylan Boone as her bodyguard – a rancher, soldier and southern boy with charm to spare.
But Riona can't stand him.
She thinks she doesn't need anyone, but Raylan knows for sure that she does, and that she needs him. After all, she's being stalked by an assassin who never misses their target. To keep her safe, Raylan will have to stay by her side day and night for the foreseeable future. Riona may think it's a fate worse than death, but once they find themselves alone on Raylan's family ranch, the chemistry between them begins to work – and everything changes.
Raylan knows Riona could learn to love him, but first, he has to keep her alive.
The hitman won't get her without a fight.
