Active substances:
Urea (also referred to as carbamide) is a substance that the skin naturally produces (and is part of the essential natural moisturizers) that regulates the moisture content of the skin. Urea is hygroscopic, which means that it can bind moisture to the upper layer of the skin. It's also keratolytic, so it helps the skin get rid of dead skin cells to make it smooth again. It also prevents itching and has an antimicrobial effect. As a result, it improves natural exfoliation and soothes and smooths the skin.
Lactate (the salt of lactic acid) is also naturally produced in the skin and is part of the natural moisturizing factor (NMF), which regulates the moisture content of the skin. Lactate absorbs and retains moisture in the stratum corneum, the top layer of the skin, and therefore plays a key role in maintaining the physical properties of the skin. Low levels of lactate in the stratum corneum are associated with dry skin.
Use:
Massage into wet hair and leave on for a while. Rinse thoroughly. Suitable for everyday use.
