The LONG WPL1235W battery serves as a backup power source with a voltage of 12V and a capacity of 8.5Ah. It uses maintenance-free VRLA AGM technology, which lets it operate in any position without needing to be topped up with water. The HighRate and LongLife design is engineered for high-load applications and has a standby service life of 6 to 9 years. The battery is suitable for use in UPS backup power supplies, medical equipment, and telecommunication systems.

Maintenance-free VRLA AGM technology

The battery is based on VRLA technology, which stands for Valve Regulated Lead-Acid. The electrolyte is not in a liquid state but is absorbed into a non-woven fibreglass mat (AGM – Absorbed Glass Mat). This makes the battery completely maintenance-free, as there is no need to top it up with distilled water. The sealed construction also prevents electrolyte leakage, which is why the battery can operate in any position.

High load and long life

The battery belongs to the HighRate category, so it is adapted for high current loads, which are typical when powering backup sources. It is also classified as a LongLife battery with an extended service life. In 'Standby' mode, where the battery is continuously charged and ready for use, it has a service life of 6 to 9 years. The service life is classified according to the Eurobat standard.

Universal use and connectivity

An F2 type connector is used for connection. The LONG WPL1235W battery can be used in a wide range of applications, from computer backup power supplies (UPS) and medical equipment to telecommunication and photovoltaic systems. It can also be used to back up circulation pumps. The battery also serves as a direct replacement for a whole range of older models, such as GIV-S12-9, HR1232W, or UPS12460.
