ECC technology transparently monitors in real time the integrity of the data stored in memory.It is able to find and correct the error in a single bit error and detect two bits.Some memory controllers can in cooperation with ECC memory and correct errors of greater magnitude.Most server boards require memory with ECC support.
Registered memory is equipped with its own controller, which controls access to individual memory modules and facilitates the work and memory controller on the motherboard or the processor.Memory outwardly behaves as a single module - register the chip - which is responsible for writing and reading from the individual memory cells and controller transmits to the outcome of these operations.This increases the efficiency of memory access and processing speed even when using multiple memory modules simultaneously.Some server boards require registered memory.
