Smart Temporary Alarm Silencing with the TEST/RESET Button

The KIDDE K5DCO alarm is equipped with an advanced temporary alarm silencing feature that effectively solves the problem of unwanted acoustic signals. This smart function allows you to temporarily reduce the alarm's sensitivity and turn off the siren's acoustic signal for approximately 6 minutes, which is ideal if you know the reason the alarm was triggered. Simply press the TEST/RESET button on the front cover of the detector and the device will automatically silence itself. After 6 minutes, the alarm will automatically return to its fully functional state. If a high concentration of CO is detected in the monitored area, the temporary silencing function cannot be activated for safety reasons.

The KIDDE K5DCO is Battery-Powered and Compact in Size

Battery operation is provided by two replaceable 1.5V AA alkaline batteries (included), allowing for quick and easy installation and ensuring the alarm functions properly for about 12 months, after which the detector will signal the need to replace the batteries. Battery operation ensures the KIDDE K5DCO alarm functions correctly and offers a safe option for carbon monoxide detection under all circumstances, especially regardless of the power supply (e.g., during a power cut).
