You will use an existing main lens with the converter, but you will multiply its focal length. The converter just fits in between the body of the camera and the lens. As this is another optical element on the way to the scanning chip, the top-of-the-line design, allows the light to pass virtually unchanged. This minimally affects the original properties of the lens. The PRO 300 Series Converter is designed for telephoto lenses from 100mm in focal length.
The DGX name means a sophisticated circuit to accurately capture exif data (photo recording information). In the exif data you will find the equivalent aperture recorded with the focal length of the lens, plus the teleconverter. The converter includes a dedicated Gate Array IC integrated circuit for seamless transmission of all data and information for proper AF operation and exposure metering.
