Insta360 X6 ND Filters (ND16)
Insta360 X6 ND Filters (ND16)
ND filters help you handle challenging lighting conditions while giving you greater control over exposure and motion in your video. In strong sunlight, they let you maintain your desired shutter speed and better regulate the amount of light hitting the sensor, helping to prevent overexposure in bright areas of the shot. You can also use a longer shutter speed for more natural motion blur during fast-paced activities like cycling, skiing or skateboarding. What's more, the camera automatically recognises an attached ND filter and adjusts its settings accordingly. The filters are made of 7H hardened glass, which also helps to protect the lens.
Key features of the Insta360 X6 ND Filters
- Exposure control in strong ambient light
- Maintains desired shutter speed
- Reduces the risk of overexposure in bright areas of the shot
- More natural motion blur for a smoother picture
- Suitable for dynamic activities and fast movement
- Automatic recognition of the attached ND filter by the camera
- Automatic setting adjustment based on the filter used
- 7H hardened glass
- Protects the lens during use
Shoot in any light
Switch between ND16, ND32 and ND64 filters to always get the ideal exposure for the current lighting conditions.
ND filters - light control in less intense daylight
The Insta360 X6 ND16 reduces the amount of light entering the lens by 4 stops and is ideal for less intense daylight, such as an overcast sky. It lets you work with a longer shutter speed and create a more natural motion blur. This gives your shots smoother motion and a more distinct cinematic character, along with better exposure control.
Stable exposure in strong light
ND filters help maintain the desired shutter speed even in very bright light, such as on snow, an open body of water or in the harsh midday sun. By limiting the amount of light entering the lens, they make it easier to control exposure and help preserve detail in bright areas of the image without unwanted overexposure.
More natural motion effect
ND filters let you work with a longer shutter speed in dynamic scenes to create more natural motion blur. The movement no longer looks like a series of frozen frames but instead takes on a smoother, more dynamic character. This effect is useful for cycling, skiing, skateboarding and other fast-moving activities.
Automatic filter recognition
The camera automatically recognises an attached ND filter and adjusts its settings accordingly. There is no need to enter the filter parameters manually, which simplifies camera preparation before shooting and lets you get back to filming quickly.
Hardened glass and lens protection
Each ND filter is made of 7H hardened glass, which also helps protect the camera lens during use. The filter thus combines control over the amount of light entering the lens with an additional protective layer for its sensitive optics.
Instructions for use
- Attach the ND filter to the camera lens and turn it clockwise to tighten it firmly.
- After correct installation, the camera will automatically display a notification on the touchscreen. Then select the corresponding ND filter model to ensure correct image correction and accurate colour reproduction.
Important notes on use
Do not drop the ND filters or subject them to strong impacts or contact with hard surfaces, as this may cause damage. If damaged, the filter must be replaced. Before installation, always check that the filter, camera lens and surrounding area are clean and dry. Only mount in a clean, dry environment and always screw the filter on firmly and correctly before use. Before attaching the ND filter, remove the protective lens caps and store them safely for future use. When installing, avoid excessive pressure or pulling on the base of the filter to prevent deformation or damage. ND filters may slightly affect image stitching, so it is recommended to point one lens at the main scene for the best results. Do not use the filters in the rain or for water sports, as their construction is not waterproof. After contact with rain, snow or fog, dry the filter thoroughly with a soft cloth to prevent it from fogging up. ND filters contain magnets, so keep them at a sufficient distance from pacemakers and other sensitive devices. The camera will only display a notification when it correctly detects the filter on the display side. The filters use magnetic sensors for recognition, and if installed incorrectly, the camera may mistake the filter for another accessory. In this case, reattach the filter correctly.
