The board game Zoo Tycoon: The Board Game is inspired by the computer strategy game about building a zoo. It is designed for 1 to 4 players, whose task will be to build a zoo and take care of the animals. You can also partner with national parks to protect nature and bring endangered species back into the wild. The game contains 35 different animal species. In the game, players start as city park rangers. Zoos must become financially self-sustaining and contribute to conservation. After the first evaluation, the management of all new gardens will be centralised. Whichever player manages the first 7 years most successfully will win. The game is played over 7 rounds, each round is divided into 4 seasons. The board game Zoo Tycoon: The Board Game is suitable for children aged 13 and over.

Turn the park into a thriving zoo
In Zoo Tycoon: In The Board Game, you become the caretaker of a city park, tasked with turning it into a thriving zoo.
Three main aspects - zoo popularity, visitor education and conservation
The game is divided into four phases corresponding to the seasons. In the spring, the young are born, in the summer you buy new animals at the stock exchange, in the autumn you build and expand the enclosures, and in the winter you earn income and plan further development. You have to carefully balance three main aspects - the popularity of your zoo, visitor education and conservation. There are 23 main animal species, each with their own specific needs and enclosure requirements. You have to provide them with enough space, hiding places and the right group dynamics. Happy animals will bring you more points and breed more easily.
Attract crowds of enthusiastic visitors
In addition to animals, you can also build refreshment stands, souvenir stands and educational centres to increase the attractiveness of your zoo. At the end of the game, the player who best balanced all aspects and scored the most points wins. Zoo Tycoon: The Board Game offers a diverse mix of strategic planning, resource management and a thematic experience of building your own zoo.
