Turn the model with the special key, flip the Start/Stop switch on the stack and then watch the fascinating movement of the locomotive's gears, wheels and connecting rods as it hurtles forward. Ugears HogwartsTM Express can travel 4 metres (with tender and carriage) or 6 metres (locomotive only)on any smooth, flat surface. The wooden model train also comes with a section of track and a Platform 9 ¾ buffer stop for an elegant static display.

Can be operated alone or in conjunction with two cars

The handsome locomotive can be operated alone or in conjunction with two cars - a coal tender and a passenger car. The tender has an empty coal compartment in which you can store a wind-up train key or other small items. The personal car has three compartments, three opening doors and a removable roof that allows the Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ronald Weasley figures to be placed on special holders that move from side to side as the train moves. The driving force of the model is a locomotive with a metal spring motor and gears that transfer power to the moving wheels. The locomotive is wound using a special key (there are slots on the left and right side of the locomotive for winding), but first remember to turn the chimney to the "Stop" position. Once the spring is wound up, hold the model while turning the stack to the "Start" position, then release it and watch the train pull out in a straight line
