Middle-earth is in danger
During the game, Lord of the Rings: Destiny of the Commonwealth, you explore the map of Middle-earth, fight enemies, complete crucial quests and try to prevent the rise of the Shadow. Each player controls two characters with unique abilities, moving, fighting, cooperating and preparing for decisive moments. Frodo stands at the center of the action, protected by his comrades, as he makes his way into the heart of Mordor, while the rest of the group must deal with the advancing forces of evil. Your goal is to complete several story quests that gradually lead you to the final goal, the destruction of the Ring in Mount Doom.
Stand up to the growing Shadow
The course of the game, Lord of the Rings: The fate of the community changes dynamically as players respond to challenges and as the situation on the map evolves. Enemies are spreading across Middle-earth along predetermined battle lines, trying to capture key sanctuaries. If you don't stop the onslaught in any of them, they turn into Dark Fortresses. This has a direct impact on the level of hope that represents the moral state of the Society. If the chance drops to zero, the game ends in defeat.
Decide the fate of free nations
As you attack and search for Frodo, you roll dice and try to avoid tragic consequences, using your abilities and symbol tokens. The Lord of the Rings: Fate of the Community, offers 24 different quests, 14 events and 13 playable characters. Each game can be completely different thanks to the choice of difficulty, hero combinations and quests. A solo mode is also included, which fully reflects the dramatic pace of the story and allows you to experience the entire story in single player.
History and creators of the game
The game was designed by Matt Leacock, an American game designer who became famous for Pandemic. The game was illustrated by Cory Godbey, known for his lyrical style of fantasy illustrations. The map comes from the pen of Jared Blando, one of the leading cartographers of fantasy worlds. The game was originally published by Z-Man Games. The localized Czech version will be released in July 2025.
