Players function in Paladins of the Western Kingdom as nobles whose job is to protect the land. Players earn points by building forts and fortifications, sending missionaries and fighting foreigners. Each round they ask for help from a specific paladin and also hire subjects to perform various activities for them. They also carry out various actions (development, recruiting, Prayer, hunting, Business, conspiracy). As the game progresses, players increase their influence, faith and power. Played over 7 rounds, the player with the most points at the end wins.
