Planning and Pattern Recognition
In Cascadia Junior, players take turns selecting habitat tiles – mountains, wetlands, prairies, rivers, or forests – and adding them to their landscape. They try to connect the same habitats to form larger contiguous areas, for which they receive more points. At the same time, they create groups of three animal symbols on connected tiles. For created combinations, the player receives trophy tokens, which have victory points in the form of pine cones on their reverse side. At the end of the game, all players turn over their trophy tokens to see who has collected the most pine cones and is therefore the winner.
Special Mode for Advanced Players
While in the basic version of Cascadia Junior it is enough to form groups of three identical animals to score points, the advanced scoring will test your ability to plan and arrange animals into specific shapes. This way, the game grows with the children and will keep even more experienced players entertained.
