Czech company Dusek Ship Kits
Czech company Dusek Ship Kits is a traditional manufacturer of non-floating models of historic ships. The range of products is very wide, with boats from BC to sailing ships from the last century. However, the domain is historic wooden boats of the golden age of sailing ships, as a business, wartime or royal English, Spanish galleries, schooners, ships of famous explorers or Viking and, for us, exotic East Asian ships.
The road to a self-built boat
Anyone who desires a self-made boat must prepare to be busy in the evenings for many weeks or months. It means having a certain skill and knowledge of working with different materials, adhesives, paints and varnishes. The kit contains mainly basic building materials, building bases and many small or miniature parts and decorations. However, this work will give you an insight into the ins and outs of ship construction, the history of real ships and can often lead you to a community of people who share your passion for ship modelling.
Recommended equipment for building the model
It is recommended to buy tools, glue and paint for the construction. We recommend the Modelcraft Ship Modeler Tool Set (12 piece set) or the Modelcraft Modeler Tool Set (18 piece set).
