The Fairy and the Dragon expansion brings new challenges and magical elements to Carcassonne. Extensions cannot be played alone. If the dragon wakes up, it sets off on its journey and eats all the companion pieces in its path. So plan carefully to avoid getting in his way, or enlist the help of a magical fairy to protect your pieces from his attack and bring you bonus points.

All new cards and figures can be combined with the base game

With the new Dragon's Lair cards, the dragon will appear on the board and start travelling around the game board when the dragon symbol card is drawn. The fairy is then your only protection. You can assign it to any of your pieces on the game board, which not only protects the piece from the dragon, but also gives you a bonus 3 points when evaluating the territory where the fairy piece is located. In addition, you can also use magic portals that allow you to place a figure on any unoccupied landscape card. The expansion also adds a new Spring Start Card and a special Lake Card for playing with the River mini-expansion. With 26 new landscape, dragon and fairy cards, your Carcassonne takes on a whole new dimension of suspense and strategy. Like the other extensions, you can freely combine this one with others.
