Carcassonne: Inns and Cathedrals is the first in a series of expansions for one of the most successful board games of our time. The tactical game Carcassonne has won a number of prestigious awards and has become a staple not only of family game nights. Players gradually lay out the pieces of the medieval landscape on which they place their pieces to control the towns, roads and fields to score as many points as possible. The expansion adds 18 new landscape cards with two new objects, which are the inn and the cathedral, a set of figures for the sixth player, a big figure for all players, which counts as 2 regular pieces, and scorecards to help you calculate your score. Carcassonne Expansion: Inns and Cathedrals is designed for 2-6 players aged 8 and up. One game will take approximately 60 minutes to play.

New landscape pieces for greater variability
The Inns and Cathedrals expansion brings a total of 18 new landscape tiles to the game. Many of them only combine elements from the base set in a different way, but players can also expect two new features. One of them is the cathedral, which, if located in a closed city, increases its value. But if the city remains unenclosed, it is, on the contrary, worthless. An analogy is the roadside inn, which allows you to double the value of your trip. As with the Cathedral, however, the player will not score any points for an uncompleted path.
