The wireless Universal Contact Sensor (HmIP-SCI), designed for indoor use, is part of the Homematic IP smart home system. Allows the integration of third-party wired devices into the Homematic IP wireless smart home system. In combination with an indoor siren (HmIP-ASIR-2) or an outdoor siren (HmIP-ASIR-O) from the Homematic IP series, for example, an acoustic and visual alarm can be triggered to attract local attention and thus deter intruders from proceeding further. Easy connection of wired sensors with Homematic IP smart home
Wired components and third-party devices (e.g. magnetic contacts already integrated in doors or windows, door contacts, glass-break sensors, flood sensors, flammable and explosive gas detectors, etc. ) can be easily connected via a two-wire cable to the universal contact sensor (HmIP-SCI), which transmits status information to the Homematic IP smart home system.
