Rust-Oleum Waterproof Repair Flexible Spray Coating for Leaks and Cracks, RO.3415

Rust-Oleum RO.3415 is a waterproof repair spray with a flexible, rubbery and recoatable coating. It is designed for filling and sealing leaks and cracks on metal, aluminum, galvanized metal, PVC, concrete, wall, asphalt and bitumen roofing materials, vinyl tiles, fiberglass, wood and other surfaces. Creates a permanently flexible waterproof barrier that adheres well even to uneven and porous materials. Actual coverage depends on factors such as the porosity and roughness of the substrate, the size of the leak, and application losses. If the valve is blocked, the spray tip should be turned and removed and flushed in a solvent such as mineral spirits. The valve opening must not be interfered with by any object. It is necessary to wipe the spray tip after application. Wet residues can be removed with xylene or mineral spirits. The empty container must be disposed of safely - it must not be burned or disposed of in regular municipal waste.

Surface treatment

Remove all dirt and residues from the painted area. Wash the surface with a solution of detergent and water, rinse it with fresh water and allow the surface to dry thoroughly.

Application and dilution

Use outdoors or in a well-ventilated area such as an open garage. Apply at a temperature between 10-32°C and 85% humidity to ensure proper drying. Do not apply to surfaces that are heated to temperatures above 200oF (93°C). Avoid spraying in very windy and dusty conditions. Cover the surrounding area to protect against spray mist. After the mixing ball starts to rattle, shake the aerosol vigorously for one minute. If the mixing ball does not rattle, DO NOT touch the container. Please contact Rust-Oleum technical support. A test spray on cardboard is recommended to get a feel for the spray. Hold the aerosol 8-18" (20-45 cm) from the surface and spray in short, even strokes. It is recommended to apply a light first coat. Apply a second thicker coat to ensure proper coverage. A thicker film can be achieved by bringing the nozzle closer to the surface. Foam or bubbles may form during initial spraying, but these will dissipate as the coating dries. For best results, apply 2 coats. Allow to dry for 15 - 30 minutes between coats.
