Key features of Remmers Holzschutz-Grund Farblos (colourless) 5L wood preservative
- A solvent-based wood preservative with preventive action against blue stain, rot and wood-destroying insects
- Preventive protection against wood-staining fungi (blue stain), wood-destroying fungi (rot) and wood-destroying insects
- Resistant to swelling and regulates moisture

- Smells of solvent during application, but is odourless once dry

Substrate requirements:
Dimensionally stable wooden components – wood moisture content 11–15%
Semi-dimensionally stable and non-dimensionally stable wooden components – max. wood moisture content 18%
The substrate must be clean, dust-free and dry.
Preparation:
Thoroughly remove dirt, grease and loose old coatings. Protect surrounding building elements and materials from contact with the product. Follow the generally applicable rules for coating wood and wooden materials in outdoor areas.
Application:
Mix the material well. Apply in the direction of the grain. For private users, apply with a brush/roller in the direction of the grain. For qualified specialist companies, application can be done by brush/roller, automatic and manual dipping, or spray tunnel methour With hardwoods such as oak, red cedar, afzelia, sequoia, etc., water-soluble substances may be washed out of the wood by precipitation – this can lead to staining on light-coloured masonry or plaster. Use the product only on raw wood. Keep children and pets away from treated surfaces until completely dry. Clean tools immediately after application with thinner or a brush cleaner. Dispose of washing residues in accordance with regulations.
Drying:
Low temperatures, insufficient air exchange and high humidity will significantly prolong the drying time.

Consumption:
Softwood – 160ml/m² or 130g/m²
Hardwood – 225ml/m² or 180g/m²
Brushing/rolling in 2–3 coats. Automatic and manual dipping, spray tunnel application in 1–2 coats.
Storage:
Store in well-sealed original containers and out of the reach of children, in a dry, cool place protected from direct sunlight and frost in well-ventilated rooms. Smoking is prohibited in storage areas. Store the biocidal product in a dry and cool place at a temperature not exceeding 40°C.
Warning:
Larger product residues must be disposed of in the original packaging in accordance with applicable regulations. Only return completely empty containers for recycling. Must not be disposed of with municipal waste. Do not empty into drains. Do not pour down the sink. Waste code 03 02 02 (chlorinated organic wood preservatives).
