Nano Impregnation for Concrete and Stone – Perfect Protection with a Self-Cleaning Effect
Material impregnated with the NanoConcept product acquires strong hydrophobic properties. It's an easy and quick way to turn an absorbent material into a non-absorbent one, which protects it from getting dirty, improves its insulation properties, and at the same time protects it from erosive ageing—weathering and UV exposure. Last but not least, the penetrated material also repels oils excellently, resists salts, acid rain, acids in general, and other chemicals up to pH 13. The protective nano-layer is colourless and invisible to the human eye. In other words, unlike paints and colours for concrete, you cannot tell the visual difference between the impregnated and untreated part of the material with the naked eye. Nano impregnation helps the treated material retain its original appearance and colour shade, and the increasingly appreciated lotus effect guarantees its self-cleaning properties. The product penetrates the material with an aqueous solution containing strongly hydrophobic SiO2 nanoparticles. Use:
Before applying the nano impregnation, ensure that the surface to be treated is clean. For effective cleaning, the IM 480 cleaner and degreaser is recommended, which NanoConcept developed for this purpose. It reliably removes dirt, grease, smog, and biological impurities such as moss, algae, lichens, etc. Apply the impregnation with the supplied sprayer or with a brush, roller, or pressure nozzle.
