The HECHT 628 electric branch shredder processes branches up to 45mm in diameter into fine wood chips suitable for mulching flowerbeds or for compost, providing a way to dispose of organic waste from gardens, orchards, or hedges. It is powered by an electric motor with an input power of 2800W and a 230V/50Hz power supply, which maintains a stable torque even when processing tougher material. Shredding is carried out by a rotating disc with two double-sided steel blades, which can be turned over when they become blunt to extend their service life. The HECHT 628 shredder is equipped with a 45-litre collection bag. The motor is protected by an integrated thermal fuse against overload, which is activated if the blades get blocked by thick material. The ergonomic pusher is designed to safely feed smaller pieces of wood towards the blades, so there is no risk of hands coming into contact with the cutting mechanism. The construction consists of a robust metal frame with a wide handle and large travel wheels, which makes it easy to transport the shredder over uneven terrain.
