GARDNERS Universal mix for pots and balcony plants, 0,5 l

GARDNERS Universal mix is a growing medium designed for balcony plants in window boxes, pots, and hanging baskets. It promotes healthy growth and abundant flowering thanks to a balanced blend of ingredients. Its light and airy structure provides optimal root aeration while efficiently managing water. The mix contains coconut coir, horticultural compost, and perlite, which work together to create ideal conditions for the root system. It is suitable for a wide range of species, from geraniums and petunias to other ornamental flowering plants.

Composition and properties of the growing medium

The composition of the growing medium is designed so that each component fulfils a specific function, creating an optimal environment for growth. Horticultural compost supplies basic nutrients, while coconut coir ensures lightness and water retention. Perlite provides aeration for the root system and prevents waterlogging, while vermiculite supports moisture management. To ensure proper growth, it is important to use the correct amount of growing medium. For example, this 0.5L pack is sufficient for a 10cm pot, whereas a 20cm container will require approximately 3 to 3.5 litres.
