Den Braven Double-Sided Fabric Carpet Tape - 5 m

Den Braven double-sided textile tape is used for the full-surface bonding and fixing of carpets and other indoor floor coverings. Thanks to a thickness of just 0.11mm, it creates a thin-film bond that prevents unevenness from forming under the flooring. The tape has high initial and final adhesion and is also suitable for fixing heavy-duty carpets in high-traffic areas. The synthetic rubber adhesive ensures adhesion to a wide range of materials, including plastics, glass, or wood.

Correct Application and Substrate Preparation

To achieve maximum adhesion, correct substrate preparation is key. Apply the tape to a clean, dry and degreased surface free of all dust and dirt. The tape is designed for fixing floor coverings primarily on non-absorbent substrates such as tiles, linoleum, PVC or Formica. Thanks to its properties, it ensures reliable fixing without the need for liquid adhesives. The application temperature should be between 2°C and 30°C.

Bond Durability and Stability

The tape offers high dynamic stability, making it suitable for fixing heavy-duty carpets and runners in high-traffic areas such as corridors or commercial spaces. The bond is resistant to ageing and common indoor weather conditions. The tape retains its properties at temperatures up to 70°C. However, limited resistance to chemicals should be expected, so avoid contact with aggressive cleaning agents.

Wide Range of Uses

In addition to laying floor coverings, the tape can also be used for other activities. You can use it for arranging and decorative work where a quick and clean bond between different materials is required. It is also suitable for joining and stabilising underlays for floating floors or carpets. Thanks to its good adhesion to foam materials, fabrics, paper, cardboard and plastics such as PVC, ABS or polyethylene (PE), it offers a flexible solution for various assembly tasks.
