How to Use the GMS 120-27 Detector Correctly
Grasp the tool by the handle and place it directly against the wall.
Now move the tool in a straight line, applying light and constant pressure.
Once an object is detected (the hole is marked in red), make sure to move over the object (until "green" reappears at the marked hole) and then back. This will give you the most accurate information about the object’s location in the wall.
Tips and tricks to make measuring easier
Before detection, you should ensure that there are no interfering elements nearby; therefore, you should remove metal objects such as watches or rings. When searching for wires, keep in mind that the cables must be live. You should therefore connect electrical appliances (e.g., lights, appliances) to the electrical cable you are trying to find. Only enable the wood detection function when searching in dry walls with a wooden substructure. On other surfaces, measurement results may be compromised.
