ETERNAL IN steril is a white, washable emulsion paint designed to prevent and eliminate mould, bacteria and other micro-organisms on interior walls.

This paint is ideal for areas where maximum sterility is required, such as operating theatres, hospital rooms, food processing plants, and locations with high humidity and a significant risk of mould and bacteria. In the home, it creates a healthy environment, particularly for allergy and asthma sufferers. ETERNAL IN steril has no hazardous properties, releases no harmful emissions or volatile organic compounds (VOCs), does not dissolve, and ranks among the top products on the market. It is vapour-permeable, odourless, resistant to wet and dry scrubbing, and suitable for application on remedial plasters. It is designed for use on lime, lime-cement, gypsum and acrylic plasters, concrete, emulsion and silicate coatings, plasterboard, gypsum fibreboards, fibre cement, cement-bonded particleboards, and other absorbent substrates.

Application

Apply ETERNAL IN steril using a roller or brush onto clean, dry, and cohesive substrates cured for 4–6 weeks, free from lime efflorescence. Substrates must be free from biological growth – we recommend using ETERNAL mould remover to clear existing growth, and removing old clay or other non-adherent coatings, or degreasing the surface with a solution of ETERNAL degreaser concentrate. We recommend priming highly absorbent substrates with ETERNAL universal primer or FORTE penetral, or with ETERNAL IN steril paint diluted with distilled or demineralised water at a 3:1 ratio. Paint over any stains bleeding through from the substrate with ETERNAL IN stop insulating paint before applying the main coat. Stir ETERNAL IN steril thoroughly before use. Use only distilled or demineralised water for dilution! Using tap water destroys the antibacterial effect of the coating! Apply the paint in two coats at ambient and substrate temperatures between 5–25°C. For the first coat, pour a portion of the product into a dry, clean container. This prevents potential dusting from the substrate and contamination of the product. Do not return any leftover paint to the original container! Apply the final coat once the first coat is completely dry. Use clean tools to prevent contamination of the product.
