ETERNAL IN steril is a white, washable emulsion paint designed to prevent and suppress the biotic contamination of interior walls by mould, bacteria, and other microorganisms.

It is ideal for places where maximum environmental sterility is required (operating theatres, hospital areas, food processing plants, and areas with high humidity and a significant risk of mould and bacteria). In the home, it creates a healthy environment, especially for allergy and asthma sufferers. ETERNAL IN steril is non-soluble and ranks among the top products on the market. It is vapour-permeable, odourless, and resistant to wet and dry abrasion, making it suitable for application on remedial plaster. It is intended for use on lime, lime-cement, and gypsum plasters, acrylic plasters, concrete, emulsion and silicate paints, plasterboard, gypsum fibreboard, fibre cement, and cement particle boards, as well as other absorbent substrates.

Application

Apply ETERNAL IN steril with a roller, brush, or distemper brush onto clean, dry, and solid substrates that have cured for 4–6 weeks and are free from lime efflorescence. The surface must be free of biological contamination – we recommend using ETERNAL mould remover. Remove old distemper and other non-adherent coatings, and degrease if necessary with a solution of ETERNAL degreaser concentrate. For highly absorbent substrates, we recommend priming with ETERNAL universal primer or FORTE penetral, or with ETERNAL IN steril paint diluted with distilled or demineralised water in a 3:1 ratio. Before painting, cover any stains bleeding through from the substrate with ETERNAL IN stop insulating paint. Mix ETERNAL IN steril thoroughly before use. Only use distilled or demineralised water for dilution! Using tap water will destroy the paint's antibacterial effect! Apply the paint in two coats at an ambient and substrate temperature between 5–25°C. For the first step, pour part of the product into a dry, clean container and apply the first coat. This prevents potential dusting of the substrate and contamination of the product. Do not return any leftover paint to the original packaging! After the first coat has dried, apply the final coat. Use clean tools to avoid contaminating the product.
